Since purchasing this business from the previous owner in 1991, The Duxbury Chimney Sweep has continued it’s high standard of service throughout Plymouth County. Since the State of Massachusetts does not regulate this industry, I am proud to have a technician on staff that is certified by the Chimney Safety Institute of America. We are also fully licensed and carry current liability and workers compensation insurance.
Our company strives to provide our customers with the best service, from your first contact with me on the phone, to the completion of any work that we do for you. I am currently the President of the Mass. Chimney Sweep Guild. I have served as an officer or on the Board of Directors for this Guild for 15 years.
My senior technician, my husband Dan Jacobson, is certified by CSIA. This means he must maintain his certification by taking a test every 3 years and pass 80 out of 100 questions from a manual provided by them, along with the National Fire Protection Agencies Code 211 book. He also chooses to attend seminars that offer CEU’s in education as well. Dan has been a master sweep for over 10 years.
My junior technician is my son Dan Sanford. Dan works for us part-time and is currently attending college for computer graphics and is the person who developed and produced this web site. Dan has been with the company since he was old enough to work. Since he graduated high school he has become full-time with us and is also exploring other fields of work.
